The Drinking on the Right Side AACUPI Alchohol Awareness Art Show competition was exciting. Many students, directors, representatives of AACUPI programs and visitors attended the inauguration. The Rai television station as well as La Nazione online newspaper broadcasted and wrote about the event.
Many thanks to Assessore Cristina Giachi, Dr. Portia Prebys, Dott. Elisabetta Santanni.
Matteo Luccherini, TESTADIALKOL, was super pleased with the results and is very happy to partner with us in the very important message. The show represented our theme which was:
"The art project is not against having a drink.
It should speak to the problems of over-drinking/drunkeness."
The next showing of the works is planned for next fall at one of the fall AACUPI meetings.

During the Pisa event, the Minister of Education Maria Chiara Carrozza said: "The fight against alcohol abuse should be a battle of European Community. The human chain created by 2,000 students at the Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa today, December 21, sends a very important message to Italian and European students and I hope that this initative can be repeated by every major city in Italy and Europe. Alcohol abuse issues are a part of the life of young people of every nation".
